NY Times had David Carr who wrote about NYTimes. It helps educate our readers about what is happening behind those by-lines. It's also a venue for introspection. I would add that another important question to ask is Why? Why are people not trusting media? Why do they find journos not credible anymore?
I agree. And more openness would probably help with public trust in media. Medyo difficult question lang yung to what extent will we cover each other? How open would media corporations be to that kind of scrutiny. A lot of decisions are made outside the newsroom kasi, though siyempre, it's the individual practitioners who have to take the potential blowback.
